It is that time of the year again when we all gather round the tree, celebrating, decorating and singing the songs of the season. It is Christmas. Growing up as a little girl, I remember always looking forward to the end of the year, not because I was lazy but because it was a period of thanksgiving. “Be thankful” mother would say to me “for some have food but cannot eat, some can eat but have no food, you have that food and you can eat, so, be thankful”. These words struck me and they do so every day so now I lay in my bed wondering, “What can I do for Christmas?”, “how can I touch lives this season?” And mother came, giving quite an answer to my questions she said “you see that little girl over there, who has just two clothes and a pair of sandals, why don’t you give her some of your many dresses that you do not wear anymore”.
