Super Girl of The Month – Linda Iheme

Linda Iheme is an Award Winning Scholar who holds a record of the highest number of distinctions (5 distinctions) from the School of Dentistry, College of Medical Sciences, University of Benin. She is a passionate African Youth Activist, Public Speaker, a University of Connecticut trained Social Entrepreneur, an American Union of Neuro-Linguistic Programming Certified Business Success Coach, a YouWIN! Mentor and a selfless Volunteer for many National and International Health Care Outreaches, to mention a few.

Linda Iheme is the Founder and CEO of the International Initiative for Youths Inspiration, Growth & Development – a Social Enterprise dedicated to helping youths get international experience and Public Speaking skills while counselling and mentoring them on social entrepreneurship. She is the Founder of Catalyst Academy Nigeria, where top-notch academic success is promoted through individual mentorship.

Linda also hosts the “Lunch with Linda Iheme” show, which was birthed as a result of her passion to inspire and motivate young people to pursue their dreams passionately. Through the show, she promotes the African Cultural Heritage, Moral Values among fellow youths, Entrepreneurship and Oral Hygiene.

She was recently awarded “Female Scholar of the Year” (May 2014) by Benin University Dental Students Association for maintaining an outstanding academic record despite her laudable engagement in Social Work. She was also recently honoured with an award of excellence in  recognition of her contribution to the society as a young Social Entrepreneur, by the Students’ Union Government of University of Benin. Again, she received an exclusive invitation to participate at the African Youth Day 2014 Celebrations by the African Union in Addis-Ababa, Ethiopia, after the release of her viral video “Oh! My Africa”. In addition, Linda Iheme recently became the Youngest Mentor on the Federal Government of Nigeria organised YouWIN! initiative for Nigerian Entrepreneurial Start-ups.

In her quest to learn more about the African Cultural Heritage, Linda Iheme has travelled to many Nigerian States and African Countries. She has also been featured on several youth related websites, blogs, magazines, national dailies and the Voice of Nigeria because of her passion to promote Entrepreneurship among African Youths.

She is driven by her passion to make positive impact/effect change in Africa and Globally. She also believes that youths can make positive change using the resources at their disposal, whether small or big. She also believes that youths should not hide their talents but shine so that the world can see their light. Linda Iheme has made a commitment to spend her life time working for the development of Africa.

Girl Pride Circle is very proud of Linda Iheme and her achievements through her various dynamic social contributions. She is an outstanding mentor to all young girls in Africa!
