Super Girl of The Month – Nana Adjoa Sifa Amponsah

Nana Adjoa Sifa Amponsah

The big question she boldly asks is, how do we feed the population on track to 9 billion in 2050, if we are all lawyers, doctors and Engineers?

Nana Adjoa A. Sifa is a passionate Social Entrepreneur from Ghana (The Gateway to Africa). A certified Social Entrepreneur from the India-based Institute of Social Entrepreneurs  -Kanthari, she possesses ample experience in leadership, strategic management, food security and Agriculture in Africa, Europe and Asia.

Wielding enviable fundraising skills, Nana is also keenly interested in project management as well as the conceptualization of issue based awareness campaigns. Over the years, she has demonstrated her experience and skill by initiating projects and programmes which serve as her quota to creating a better world.

Super Girl Nana is driven by the strong conviction that Agriculture is the single sector that can solve most of the world’s most pressing problems – especially unemployment, food insecurity, poverty, hunger and malnutrition. Her greatest desire is to live in a society where young female graduates are proud to be “agripreneurs” – Agricultural Entrepreneurs. To facilitate this dream, she initiated Guzakuza; a social enterprise committed to creating Agripreneurial mindsets (especially among young women in Africa) through Advocacy, Cooperatives and Training. Guzakuza is a Swahili word which means “grow to touch lives”.

Nana Adjoa is currently the President of Direct Impact Foundation – an organization that seeks to bridge the wide gap between rural and urban education in Ghana. In the past, she has been privileged to volunteer and engage in internships at several reputable organizations, including Saigramaam and Lend-A-hand-India (LAHI). Undoubtedly, these experiences have contributed to shaping Nana’s unique world view.

Nana’s wealth of formal work experience spans widely across the corporate and public sector. She has worked as an Administrative Assistant and Panel Member at the National Labour Commission of Ghana and as a Customer Service/Sales Personnel at an International Travel Agency based in England. In addition, she honed her interpersonal and communication skills while serving as the Executive Secretary of Sifat Communications in Ghana.

Ms Sifa Amponsah is a member of the Association for Women’s Rights in Development, World Pulse and Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs. As a progressive African youth, she is committed to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and she strongly believes that Agriculture is a silver bullet to the achievement of up to 50% of the global goals. Through Guzakuza, Nana hopes to groom young female Agripreneurs who will power Africa’s economy, grow healthy foods and generate wealthy farmers.

Nana Adjoa is most fulfilled when someone looks at her and says “because of you Nana, I didn’t give up”. She enjoys travelling and has a strong interest in photography. She also loves to write and cook.

Girl Pride Circle is very proud of Nana Adjoa Sifa Amponsah. We wish her boundless success in her entrepreneurial journey.
